Is it possible to keep the losses of the core units for the coming scenario(s) of the campaign?

Yes, there is a campaign setting called “Disable auto-refit” (in Campaign View) doing exactly this. With this setting, the actual strength of all core unit will be kept as it is, and it won’t be refitted up to the base strength defined in the next scenario.

Just like the cap and prestige awards, this option should be set for the scenario coming after the played scenario which losses you want to keep, as the auto-refit would happen between them.

You can apply this setting globally for the entire campaign (“Campaign” menu –> “Global changes on campaign options an awards”)

There are several campaigns using this feature, like Drag’s Romanian campaign for OpenAK or most LXF and SoN campaigns. You can try them to see how this feature works.
