"What's wrong with the Doc" a Captain asked? "He's had enough. It's broke Him. I never would of thought it would be Him. I mean He was at Anzio, Normandie. But this battle in these Woods has done Him in. He went to talk to Command to just pull the Boys out of this 'Horror in the Woods' but Command told Him to just patch the Ones up still able to fight, that was His job not to take Pity on Soldiers. You should of seen His look, I was there. A look of disgust with the whole Dam Show. I was scared when He looked at My holstered firearm, for a minute I thought He was going for it and shoot the Major. He came back here and has just sat there now for 2 Hours. I know what's on His mind, He is going to wander off in those woods over there and He won't be coming back. I've seen It before and there is not One Dam thing Anyone can do to stop it. A Man can only take so much and Doc's reached His Point. A Hell of a Doc He was but His time Has come and the End will be by His own hand, and believe Me it won't be long. The Army of course couldn't care less. The Docs no value to them now. Command and all Their orders, 'Fix 'em up and send them back".
