CLAYMORE

Date: March 3, 1941
Operation Name: Claymore
Location: Stamsund, Lofoten Islands, Norway

Orders:
The Lofoten islands lie off the Norwegian mainland, west of Narvik about 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Your men will land on the island of Vest Vaago where your target area is centred on the port of Stamsund.

Your mission is the destruction of fish oil plants (fish oil is used in the production of Glycerine), the capture of local Quisling party supporters and enemy personnel, the evacuation of recruits for the Free Norwegian forces and the destruction of enemy ships and Norwegian ships working for the Germans. You must have at least one VH in the city in six turn.

You will have the assistance of a small group of Norwegian volunteers and some demolition teams of the Royal Engineers.

Intel:
The coast south of Stamsund has been mined so your approach should stay well out to sea.
