Shanghai: East Coast China
Aug 1937

We have received a distress call from the Naval commander of the Shanghai garrison requesting immediate assistance in repelling Nationalist attacks on his forces. The navy is also sending troops to assist, but these have been delayed due to poor weather.

Army Intelligence reports that strong Nationalist forces are approaching the city from the west and are committed to throwing us out of the city.
