Radio conversation among Brit commanders. "This is Polsten, Yes I hear you Reginald. Everything looks good here the same as your position. Looks like we can gain all of our objectives even if most of the Armor didn't make it to shore. Guess it's time to put Hilters boys to bed. We have encountered only a few groups of Old Men here and they had no fight in them at all, too willing to throw down their arms and surrender. With the RAF overhead I think we are okay and should be able to get back to our landing craft and retreat with very minimal casulties. Yeh I agree, these Nazi's may have a good Navy and Air Force and I guess they are too much for the Russians to handle but it seems we got their number now. What, you say you hear some tanks coming, probably be a few old French ones, your AT guns should be able to handle them pretty easy. Yeh we hear some too, going to move to a better spot to check them out. (a few minutes later) What's that you say now Reginald, you are retreating. The tanks are the Mark IV's and III's. Okay you retreat we will move here to take some pressure off of you, I still see nothing." ( Later Polsten as Reginald saw too much, Panzers in the Hundreds as the Dieppe force was massacred and very few got back to the Landing craft only to run into the German Navy.
