July 23rd,1944 The Allies had finally got out of the Hedgerows and Omar Bradley okayed Patton to 'turn the Armor loose'. Now a chance for Patton's Boys to shine while Montgomery forces sat idle getting serviced back into shape from the beating the Germans had administered during 'Operation Goodwood'. "That Limey Bastard will see how a real General fights a War" Patton told His staff. The Sherms of 3rd Armour moved making good clips for a few hours then smack right into an Elite Panzer Group, Panzer Lehr. Once again the Allies learned their Armor did not fair too well. The 'Flyers' would have to help remove the roadblock of German Steel before the Pattons Parade could continue.
