June 9,1944 The supplies were still pouring in,the beaches seemed secure the Germans had lost their chance to shove the Allies back in the sea. Major Leslie Perkins had moved His Battlegroup up near Saint Etta and was suppose to set-up a defensive position to protect the Right Flank of the Brits 11th divison, but instead the Germans had retreated so the Major thought why in the Hell not move to Clarrist. The German Commander upon getting information the Yanks had no Heavy Armor just light tanks decided to do an about face even with complete Allied contol of the air. So now Major Perkins would be facing a force twice His size and with a lot more firepower. So calls went out from Eisenhower to the Eighth, "Save Perkins butt and somebody get there and tell Him to stay put until We can get some Sherms of 2nd Armored at Saint Etta".
