February 24th,1943 The German High Command had had enough. It was time to pull the forces out of the Sand. At Tunis would be the escape and the Allies were too slow to catch most of the German Panzers but a few still remained with Mussolini's troops fighting til the End. Leading the America forces was Patton and his 3rd Army and General Terry Allen and the 'Big Red One', with other forces thrown into the fray. For the Italians it was a dire time and General Luzzo had to commit his armor in mass hoping for some kind of 'Miracle'. If there was a 'Miracle' it would be by the German Tigers of 'Group Renn'. On the battlefield the Tigers had no equals and all Major Renn asked was that the Italians show up in the Air to prevent domination by the United States Army Air Force. If they could then the Allies would pay dearly facing the 88's of the Tigers and the moral of the Allied tankers would suffer and replace their Glee of victory with caution, caution that from the woods or around a corner lurked a Tiger ready to turn Allied armor into metal coffins.
