Commander,

Nice to see you again. I asked for you personally based on our training excercise in Alaska. This is the real thing though. The Japanese have assaulted Alaska for real and are gunning for Anchorage, its port and the airport.

I want you to defeat them decisively and show them who owns this part of the world, and who will wrest control from whom. Leave their forces in shambles.

The Japanese have been augmenting their forces by bringing up their 23rd Division. Use your artillery to soften up the Japanese. After that, I expect you to move our vanguard rapidly to seize your objectives and then cause chaos in their rear.

Use your reconnaisance wisely to avoid nasty surprises. I don't think that we have to worry too much about Japanese tanks, but their infantry is just as good as ours, and probably better organized as well.

We are thousands of miles from The Lower 48, so reinforcements will be few. The battlefield will be as remote and desolate as any you can imagine.

Remember, this is the chance to make your mark.
