Zdravstvuyte Commander,

I was right about our "Allies". They aren't happy about our occupation force that is still in Eastern Europe. Even though Patton is dead, other hot tempers try to put together a coalition to attack us when our back is turned.

Our attack against our former Allies has been going well so far. We have accomplished so much in three months, in spite of the terrible weather which has slowed so much down.

Konev is driving his forces through Germany as we speak, has practically reached the Rhine, and shattering what little is in his path. Zhukov has smashed through Kesslering's forces still entrenched in the Italian penninsula that were never repatriated to Germany. Of course, I have been holding your forces in reserve in case of urgency.

Zhukov's troops are starting to slow down in spite of their great victory outside of Rome. So that urgency has now arrived. We think that we are going to be facing the last vestiges of German and Italian resistance. The British may land some forces near Salerno in hope of a last ditch effort to prevent us from completing our work. And I understand that the Italian navy may sortie as well, so keep your naval bombers handy! I want you to surprise the Italians, Germans and British to complete our conquest of the Italian penninsula.

Do svidaniya my friend!
