Colonel, during and after your victory the Germans have suffered a big defeat at the gates of Moscow and a smaller one near Tichvin. It is doubtfull if the Germans can still win this war. Here in the North however, they still hold on to Volchov and Novaja Ladoga, effectively sealing off Leningrad. A great humanitairian disaster is taking place there with thousands of people dying each day.

With the Americans acting as intermediairies, some peace offers by the Russians, offering us our 1939 borders, have reached us. However these set such conditions that we cannot accept them from a country so treacherous.

We do strive towards peace however. In oder to safely make peace with the Russians we need two things. First more pressure on the Russians, so they will accept our terms. This can be realised by waiting for the surrender of Leningrad. Second we need better arms. As you discovered meeting the T34's, our AT weapons are not good enough, we have ordered a large amount in Germany.
