At the beginning of 1941, the situation at the bargaining table was more than a stalemate. And then there was the misfortune - the German U-100 submarine sank the French cruiser "La Galisoniere", flying to Oslo. It was true that the Germans explained that this was in their territorial waters, but even if, this action had little to do with any convention of the sea. The French thought they were attacked. And Poland had allied obligations ...

Initially, the plan envisaged a strike on the German forces and pushed them to the aga-Gogw line, but an ambitious plan - the Zielona Gra-Leszno line, was soon set. Although it looked suicidal, many Polish tanks were already seen in the streets of Berlin.

Unfortunately, the plans of the Polish staff did not escape OKW's mind, and what was to be a brilliant and surprising offensive, could easily turn into a dramatic retreat.
