G24 1ST MARINES DIVISION v.4.2

On the eve of World War II, there was only the 1st Marine Brigade, at the outbreak of the war, transformed into the 1st Division commanded by the veteran of the previous battles of Gen. Alexander Vandergritt. The division as a whole tactical association took part in the Guadalcanal fights, which began with the landing of the 1st Division in August 1942, lasted until the beginning of February 1943 and ended with the first American victory in World War II. With the formation of new divisions, the Marines Corps took over the lead role in the Pacific Islands, taking part in all major invasive operations such as landing at Tarawa, Peleliu or Iwo Jima, with the final accent of striking Okinawa in 1945. The Marines were not present at the European theater Actions and did not participate in the operations of landing operations here, such as landing in Normandy.
By representing only 5% of US forces deployed on all fronts, the Marine Corps suffered 10% of all US military casualties.

This campaign describes the history of the fighting of the first among the first or 1st Division Maines. You have to show determination and will fight like our heroes.
