G22 SIGN OF THE EAGLE v.4.2

Polish Army and Polish Armed Forces in years: 1939-1945
================================================== =====

Total: 28 scenarios
Maximum length of the combat route: 16 scenarios

Historical background:
The campaign starts with the selected units of the Polish Army units in September 1939, the first 4 battles: Mokra, Piotrkow, Minsk Mazowiecki and Kock. Then the player has the choice: follow the trail of Gen. Anders, through Africa and Italy, or by the route of General Maczek - through France 1940, England to land in Normandy and further to Germany.

The campaign does not include two famous "Polish" battles - Narvik and Arnhem - due to the desire to preserve the historical continuity of each branch of the campaign. The "Italian" part is based on the battles of Gen. Anders's corps and the "French" part of the battles of Gen. Maczek. Hence neither Narvik nor Arnhem are logically located in these events as they were turned over by troops not included in the above-mentioned groups.

Fiction and truth:
All scenarios are based on actual combat actions and units involved, although in some scenarios the number of allied units alongside the Poles has been deliberately reduced, to increase the attractiveness of the game, and due to the scale of the map.

Exceptions: The "Scotland" scenario depicts Poles defending the coast of Scotland from the expected landing, which never really happened, although the Poles were actually stationed there.

At the end of each branch there is a bonus scenario available only when BV is reached. Offensives to Padua and Venice are true, although the Poles did not participate in it, and the fight under Flensburg is pure fiction, but not so impossible again - in that situation.

Some scenarios may include special tasks, and limits on the number of units that can be deployed. Such situations are marked in the introductory texts. In other cases, just hit the enemy and take his hexes.
